That's odd! I clicked on the link and the page came up with 
Chinese characters displayed correctly (not that I can read them). 
I'm running Slackware11 with Firefox, with no extra language packs 
at all. Have you checked that the view/character option is set 
correctly (mine is on auto-detect).
