Hi Tim,
Last time I looked, the X-Fi Xtreme Audio card by creative was not yet
supported. Creative claim they will release some closed source, linux
drivers Q3 of this year, or early 2008.
A solution until they do release drivers may be to purchase another cheap
soundcard until the X-Fi is supported, or use a USB sound device.
