Hey all,

I'm new to this list, and it may be a short-lived visit. I'm happy to
hear that active community-minded users are reaching out with this
weekends' installfest. On almost the same note, I'm looking at buying
a laptop here in Auckland to travel around with, and I'd like to know
where any shops are that sell (or lend) linux distros on cd.
I'm new to having a broadband "Usage allowance" as Telecom calls it, so
downloading is out of the question for me. I was pleased to see that
Dick Smith carries both Ubunto, as well as a few flavours of Fedora and
they should be congratulated and supported for that.
Are there any shops/Uni's/people that stay fairly up-to-date with
releases other than DSE? I walked spent the day yesterday hoping to
find a hole-in-the-wall mom'n pop computer shop that could help to no avail.

There are a few people with the right idea on trademe, but it's fairly
weak in Auckland (Need something quick). Any brick and mortar places
around town?

Thanks all.

Regards,
Josh Tarchuk
