My question as a followup to this John - do Windows users see any
difference when they dial up?

As a test, could one be configured to log its PPP session then do a
dialup, and perhaps the logs could be compared with those generated on a
linux box experiencing the problem?

If the problem isn't hitting multiple dialup users, then notwithstanding
any changes made server-side, the problem would seem to be mitigated on
the user-side. (Even if multple linux users are affected, by proportion,
this will be a small number of customers;... Id be suprised if there were
very many linux users who were also regular dialup users.)

Mark.
