Our first beginner's tutorial will be held on Monday, 19 March 2007,
from 4pm to 5pm in UG4 (Building 303 Room 105). We will introduce you to
the basics of finding your way around Ubuntu Linux using the command
line, how to edit a file, how to login to remote machines, and how to
move files between machines. All you're required to know is how to use a
keyboard and mouse. No need to bring anything, materials will be
provided in the tutorial. Email me with your name. If you do not let us
know of your attendance in advance we cannot guarantee we will be able
to accommodate you. In case that more people show up than we have room
for, preference will be given to those who signed up in advance.
