[AuckLUG] Settle an arguement for me! apt-get, apititude and dpkg

as far as I know: they can be used interchangeably as each of them handles a
different part of the process...

dpkg manages the actual dependency checking / unpacking / installing and
running any pre / post install scripts;
apt-get uses dpkg - apt-get also checks dependencies and obtains any
packages needed from repositories;
aptitude is like apt-get but with a nicer interface / aptitude shows you
whats installed etc;
