no need to read any further. this is already a missunderstanding of the
GPL. if they intend to uphold this then the code is NOT GPL licensed.
and worse, if McObject includes GPL licensed code owned by someone else
then they are violating that license because they are adding a
restriction "may not charge money". adding restrictions is prohibited by
the GPL.
the GPL does not prevent you to use code in a commercial product.
you may charge all the money that you like, as long as you honor the
license. there is nothing in the GPL that prohibits charging money and
long as you do not charge extra for the source. (you need to sell binary
and source together)
