I would say that's always a matter of how properly you invest into research of 
WHAT to buy initially. I'd say if you have a Mac, you buy hardware you know 
will work for a Mac. Unfortunately too many people will just buy Mr. Cheapo 
stuff on sale in some Warehouse or other strange store and expect it to work 
seamlessly on Linux.

Chose right, buy right ---> enjoy properly!
