i have found linux to be slightly more enjoyable on a VM (sadly) ... I have
just been having so much trouble with my wireless lan card driver and even
when it worked it used to be on and off ... and I could forget about WAP
support ... there is close to a impossible number of forums/howtos to read
on this topic ... has anyone got WAP working !!!
with windows it takes care of all of the pesky drivers and stuff like that
so I can concentrate on just running my linux apps (netbeans, kile, eclipse,
etc, etc) (with vmware networking bridge, its like its natively connected)
or doing some cross platform stuff (essential for work) ... once my hardware
works or I buy other hardware I will switch the guest/host os's that is have
windows in a vm running on a native linux system ... until then I am content
with a vm.
