[AuckLUG] Traffic accounting and ISPConfig

Hello everyone!

I've always wanted to get some sort of per-IP traffic accounting going
because frankly rrd is awesome and I feel left out. I had another crack
at it today and managed to get ulog putting ludicrous amounts of data
into a mysql db.

What do I do with it now? I'm no perl expert. Are there any customisable
front-ends out there that will talk to rrd and sort out the relevant
data from mysql? So far I've had a look at cacti and haven't gotten it
working just yet but it's nearly there. I'm not sure that cacti is what
I want though, someone compared it to MRTG which isn't really an
individual-IP-esque solution.

On that note, has anyone here tried ISPConfig before? I set it up this
week and it's wicked cool. I expected a web management interface but I
didn't expect it to install and configure most of my packages for me. I
used this guide: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_ubuntu704 and
ISPConfig is found here: http://www.ispconfig.org/ - it's saved me
literally weeks of setting stuff up.

Cheers
Justin
