You can buy level1 products (cash sale) from the nz distributor directly
snapper.net.nz

I have a level1 WPS-9122 connected to a brother hl-2040 Ive only ever
had one problem with it (it completely died) but they replaced under
warranty never had a problem since. If you plan on using with Windows as
well my advice is not to use the silly software that goes with it but do
your own manual port tcp/ip port setup and configure the device from its
web interface.

Ironically today I just setup a brother hl-2040 (hey they are cheap
hehe) with an Edimax PS-1206MFG printserver for a co-worker the reason I
choose the Edimax this time over the level1 was price, newer firmware
revisions & newer drivers + supports bi-directional printing for some
supported multifunction centers (not really needed for lasers).
