Hi

I just wanted to let everyone know about the up coming Moodle conference
in Hamilton, September.

Moodle is an Open Source e-learning application (usually run in LAMP
environment).

Moodle is the leading e-learning app used by almost all Polytechnics in
New Zealand (including the Open Polytechnic), and the worlds biggest
online learning provider - the UK's Open University. It is also being
used by an increasing number of private training companies in NZ, and
company training departments.

The conference is 26th-28th September (hosted by Wintec in Hamilton),
including a workshop by the founder and lead developer of Moodle, Martin
Dougiamas. There is also a technical 'stream' running through the
conference for administrators and developers - including; Moodle
networking, integration with other applications, and using Moodle in the
Enterprise environment.

The conference website is http://www.elearning.org.nz.

There is a conference rate for earl-bird registrations, and another for
registrations after 1st August. However I have arranged to extend the
early-bird rate to all AuckLUG membership :-)

Cheers, Stuart.
