Hi Rick I haven't used Evolution in a long time, but it doesn't sound like your problems are directly related to Evolution. Usually the invalid parameter message will come up when there's an unusual character in a file name. It's probably a dash that cp (or the file manager you're using (Nautilus or Konqueror?)) is trying to interpret as an argument. It'll be easier if you can figure out exactly which file(s) the command is choking on. When you copy that specific file, you should put a backslash before the character causing the problem. This will probably be easier to track down if you can try copying using the command line. -- Vince On 1/18/07, Rick <rleck at pl.net> wrote: > > Hello Folks > > I have a problem copying my email files from evolution, which has > prevented me from doing a clean install for quite some time as I cannot > backup my email.
