[AuckLUG] A belated thanks and query

A belated thanks to those - one of whom was Chilling Silence  - who put me 
right on telecom's broadband for linux boxes.

I have been caught up in the bubble and squeak to-do at Telecom and it 
appears Yahoo may have introduced a bug that affects Thunderbird.

I cannot send mail via Thunderbrid in Windows, not can I receive mail sent 
by Thunderbird in Windows.

I can send/receive all mail via Microcrap's Mail and Opera. The settings for 
the SMTP accounts are identical in all three.

Have other people experienced trouble with using THunderbird either in 
Windows or Linux and using the new greatly improved mousetrap - I mean 
telecom mail?

perhaps I am just seeing conspiracies where there aren't any.
