No, but is there something 'New Zealand' specific about remote desktop?
I.e. does it matter? You chose to point out the distinction, so we have
to presume you have a point.

Well yet you deliberately drew reference to the 'wider audience' of NZLUG.
Were the question unsuitable for a 'local' audience, i'd have thought
similar - but I don't think it was.
And as for the difference between NZLUG and AuckLUG I do think I am quite
aware. :-)
AuckLUG is more of an 'IRL' community than NZLUG is - and that was the
entire point behind it. Were someone to want wide-ranging information /
opinions on a linux related subject as pertains to NZ, then NZLUG would
seem to be the right place. On the other hand if the question can quite
capabily be dealt with locally, theres nothing wrong with posting it to a
community list.
If you want entirely valid examples of this, check out WellyLUG, WLUG
(Waikato) etc etc.
(And as for those who found NZLUG an unwelcoming forum... I would very
much appreciate info as to why that is... please contact me offlist if you
would care to help us improve the community at large.)
Cheers
Mark.
