Hello,
For some reason when I try to use apt-get to update/upgrade, I get:
root at renedox:/home/cheng# apt-get remove libgl1-mesa-dri
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
...
After unpacking 32.4MB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]? Y
(Reading database ... dpkg: error processing ubuntu-desktop (--remove):
unable to open files list file for package `libgl1-mesa-dri': Permission denied
Errors were encountered while processing:
ubuntu-desktop
Processing was halted because there were too many errors.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
I get the same dpkg error ( `libgl1-mesa-dri': Permission denied) on
any apt-get action I do. This stops me from removing, installing and
upgrading anything.
libgl1-mesa-dri can't be accessed in bash either, won't show up ls,
and I get the same permission denied error for other programs like
stat and file.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Is there anyway to read or write to the file?
