[AuckLUG] Restricting E-mail access for Children - 1/2OT - Ethics

I'm left wondering how old these kids are.

Are they home schooled and removed from society completely?

Would a better approach be to set up an agent to copy all in and out
bound mail for the user to a second mail account for review?

Then review the mail after the event, if you find anything unappropriate
then you sit down with the child and have a chat.

Knowing that their mail isn't private will slow them down.

However, is their desktop restricted to the point where they can't use
web mail systems, vpn, im and any number of other work a rounds?

See: http://www.tcn.bowenvale.co.nz/content/view/25/20/

We spend some time each week talking about these types of issues.

Cheers Don
