[AuckLUG] Help with Ubuntu

for desktops discouraging use of the root account is nice but any server I build first thing I do is 'sudo passwd'.  Seen two people caught out, fortunately on low impact servers.  Once sudo wouldn't work after using ntpdate and the other messed up manually editing sudoers file (always sudo adduser user admin or visudo).  In both cases a reboot was required.

And remember folks, if you need root, you can just "sudo su" ....
