[AuckLUG] trade space for books?

Hello list,

I've been lurking for the most part, but would now like to come forward
with a request and an offer rolled into one:
I'm planning to visit New Zealand this November, and I'd like to take a
few books with me. Unfortunately, books tend to weigh quite a bit, and
I'm pretty sure that I'll want to be packing clothing rather than books
in order to make my suitcase heavy.

I'd still like to have a handful of books available some time during my
stay, so I'd like to send those books over prior to my boarding the
flight here in Europe, and pick them up at a mutually convenient point
in time - in exchange for this use of somebody's storage space, I'd of-
fer to put a couple of books that might be of interest to that somebody,
lending those to him for an as of yet indefinite amount of time, into
the parcel.

I've accumulated a nice list of technical books over the years, so there
should be something of interest for everybody - from The Design and
Implementation of the 4.4BSD operating system to Implementing CIFS to
various network and systems administration and LPIC books.

(A few of which are in German, so you might have the unique opportunity
to learn about regular expressions *and* Bratwurst at the same time!)

I'm still compiling all the titles, authors and ISBNs, but if someone
on this list finds (s)he may be slightly interested in this, please
contact me off-list, and I'll get back to you with that list once I have
all titles written up.

Thanks in advance,

kind regards,

thomas
