The 1kb partition will be an extended partition to allow more than 4 normal partitions. you should be able to use cfdisk to delete the linux partitions with out affecting the windows partition. if you have a win boot floppy you can use fdisk /mbr to remove lilo or grub (not sure if this can be done with cfdisk), then you should be able to boot into windows as normal or install linux and lilo or grub to give boot menu. It would be way safer to just buy a second harddrive and install linux on that. You can pick them up pretty damn cheap these days.
