(A) Informational redundance can be bad, in fact very bad. Why else is a major point in data base development normalization? Anyway, this is a community, that is dealing with IT, and that should know better! In case the Google calendar (or the other source(s)) are NOT aligned with each other, it will cause massive confusion. If no-one assures (by a script, web app, ...) that they will be kept in synch, this type of redundancy is highly confusing and more trouble than it is worth. (B) Frugality and care with some types of personal information is good. Especially when dealing with open systems, and information that gets stored within systems under a (large) corporation's terms abroad. Even if someone may be able to find out more about me by getting hold of my license plate, not EVERYBODY can, and it can't be done through the web. I can understand everybody who tries to keep his personals together, and especially in a community subscribed to freedom and liberty (as in "not just free as in free beer") this desire should be not just tolerated but honoured.
