If you wan't a gmail invite that doesn't require a phone number to be supplied, let me know. =) To be honest the thought of a free mail provider that requires _something_ to validate your ID is something that appeals. (Though I can't vouch for how well they validate their data, of course.) But, heck, Gmail know the identity of someone who knows me! oh-my-gosh.. I concur with earlier posts; The use of the Google Calendar (a free system) is simply an added bonus to services already provided via the website and mailing list. I further note you can get an RSS feed from linux.net.nz, so if you want something controlled locally, perhaps simply subscribe to that.... Regards Mark.
