Hi Ron, DVD drives are all linux compatible, just like any CD drive is. Personally I'd recommend Asus or LiteOn as good brands. Remember that if you go cheap, flashing the ROM can help with burn quality :-) K3b is the way to go for burning Cheers Chill.
