Hey, I have just come off a very nice cable plan that gave me 1/10
national traffic, and now that I am being billed for every bit of data
the $partners use of Trademe is showing in the data usage monitor more
than ever...

I thought that I might install Squid so we dont blow our data cap, as I
am sure she will never give up trademe :)

I installed the squid package for debian, entered the setting for
visible_hostname modified the acl for the network 192.168.100.0/24.

I followed the article at
http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/71

The following lines give me errors on start up and squid fails to start
and says they are invalid.

httpd_accel_host virtual
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_with_proxy on
httpd_accel_uses_host_header on

/etc/squid.conf's first line is
# WELCOME TO SQUID 2.6.STABLE1

Once I have set up the port forwarding in the firewall (shorewall) to
redirect traffic to squid proxy this is what I see in my webbrowser...

Any help or comment, or even a link to a working squid.conf file that I
can have a look at would be good.

Thanks again.
