[AuckLUG] Got an old laptop?

Hey

Hope this isn't too OT.

I'm looking for someone with a working old/spare laptop, who might be
keen to discard it or at least lend it for a month.  Required: serial
port, and infrared or some other way of hooking up to Telecom or
Vodafone networks.

It is for a friend who will be touring NZ for a few weeks, starting
before New Year's Eve, and needs basic mobile web access.  It's a
reasonably normal tour, no extreme/rough conditions, so the laptop
will be well taken care of.

No special software requirements, any OS will do as long as it can run
Firefox 1.5.  No OS at all is fine too.
