Abstract:
Security Enhanced Linux was released to the open source community by the
US National Security Agency in September, 2001. Since then it has been
rapidly adopted as a practical means of enforcing strict security policies
within the Linux system. It has been included as a standard part of the
2.6 kernel and will be released in the Fedora Core 2 distribution. During
this presentation, Kerry will present the "what, why, and howto" for
SELinux covering areas of access control models through to installation
and troubleshooting. There will be a live demonstration if time permits.
Kerry Thompson has been involved with the SELinux project for about 2
years, and is the author of the (unofficial) SELinux FAQ.
Please remember to bring a packet of nibbles to eat. Tea and Coffee will
kindly be provided by Asterisk.
Thanks to Asterisk for the use of this venue. |
