I dont care for the name at all. But a NZLDP (New Zealand Linux Documentation Project) is a cool idea where, EVERYONE pools, links too, what ever floats your boat. Editing the WLUG wiki requires WLUG membership? So why make people in Wellington LUG join to work on WLUG's website? Umm, so, the WLUG wiki has over 3000 pages of user contributed and edited pages. Many of these edits have been made by people from other countries who have found the pages by google. Do you propose we throw that away to help start a "NZLUG" (whatever that means) version because you don't think just using the WLUG one is good enough for the rest of NZ ? > Seriously... would be nice to see some co-operation People from all over the rest of the world co-operate by adding to our wiki. Is it that hard for the rest of NZ to co-operate with it too ? > I think as a part of NZLUG (New Zealand LUG) a doc project would be cool. The only thing that seems to be being argued about is the name. It's called the wlug wiki because we started it, put the resources into it and have been feeding and tending to it for the past few years. There is no reason it couldn't be just as much the NZLUG's documentation source.
