I've had this problem. In Mandrake Control Center: Hardware: KeyboardDrake my
install has 3 US keyboards. Only the second US keyboard on the list (usefully
named "US keyboard", like its predecessor) works properly, providing ", ', `, ',
@, etc characters with a single keystroke. Try setting KeyboardDrake to this
keyboard, perhaps?
