microsotf have done something nasty, yet again.  Let them do it I say.. 
 crap like this will backfire on them as long as they continue to do 
it.. not something any PR deptartment can handle in the long term..

As for the Auckland Company concerned - it was most likely something 
that they 'had to' do, just to get the contract.  Monetary wise, it will 
be irrelevant to them at this stage, but not for long...  then we will 
see companies telling microsotf to get stuffed, viz the recent "xtra 
terms and conditions".
