I would just like to say that the people I delt with in Software Images were

they have been involved. I am sure they are an honest, productive business,
and they didn't intensionally wish to get into this bun fight.

The real story here is not about Software Images - its about how Microsoft,
dispite its commitment to "compete on technical merit" does in fact continue
to engauge in agreements which exclude competitors. To be sure they are not
the only organisation which does this, however they are a substantial
monopoly in the software field, so restricting its competitors.

Software Images here are more unwitting victims of MS strategy than willing
partners. Perhaps some good will come of all this - in that NZ companies will
be less willing to enter into questionable exclusivity agreements with large
international monopolies.
