Theres a bunch of people over at the NZ DSL mailing list (unixathome.org/adsl)
who'd love to hear from you then. As far as we all know, there are currently NO
internal DSL modems that work under linux (including the Ni200). If you have
information on how to make an Ni200 work under Linux, there are alot of people
on that list who would be interested and I encourage you to pop over there and

Erm - Telecom NZ don't allow people to use bridge mode on their DSL modems on
the NZ DSL network. Therefore NEITHER of these modems will allow you to have the
external IP address on the eth# device on your PC. The only modem on the market
(AFAIK) that will allow this feature on the NZ DSL network is the 3Com
DualConnect DSL modem.

Once again, the Ni500 will not run as a bridge on the NZ DSL network.

The M1122 is a great modem (I personally prefer the M11), but in this case I
think the only modem suitable for his needs (running NAT on the *nix box with
real world IP) is the 3Com dual-connect.
